We’re giving away a year’s free access to our Companies House document archive to the first 1,000 Duedilers to sign up 10 friends.
Winning the prize is easy. Simply click the Play button on the homepage to get started. You’ll receive a unique link to share via Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, email – anywhere you like. All you need is 10 friends to signup using this link and you’ve won unlimited documents for a whole year! To check your score, simply type your email into the competition signup box again. Good luck!
Why are we doing this? If there’s one thing we’ve learned from our users, it’s that nothing makes them happier than being able to access accurate information easily and painlessly. At Duedil, it started with showing financial information, and the connections between companies and directors. The next logical step is to offer our users the chance to download original scans of the documents in our vast database.
You can either go to the Companies House website, which to be honest, the less said about it, the better. To get the document you need, you’re forced through a painful process of trial and error, an awkward payment process, and finally, up to a 30 minute wait.
The other method is to pay thousands of pounds to buy your documents in bulk.
We’ve come up with a much better way of finding and downloading these documents, and to celebrate our forthcoming document downloading feature, we’d like to give away free access to these documents to 1,000 Duedilers.
All you need to do is be one of the first 1,000 Duedilers to get just 10 friends and colleagues to sign up using your unique link, and from January 15th, you’ll be able to download any document from our database directly from company profile pages, completely free of charge. That’s unlimited document downloads for an entire year, from annual accounts and mortgage declarations, to director changes, incorporation documents… the works – for an entire year, totally free. This covers documents that we have never released before, all the way back to 1995!
Competition Rules
1. To participate you must be:
(a) UK resident; and
(b) a registered member of duedil.com
2. Each person who attains ten signups will qualify for free company documents provided by Duedil for twelve months from 15/01/2012, limited to the first one thousand persons who qualify.
3. Winners will be contacted via email.
4. The competition will close on the 14/01/2012 at 11:59pm, or when one thousand people qualify for the prize; whichever occurs first.
5. Anyone suspected of ‘gaming’ the system or using a bot of any kind will be disqualified immediately.
6. No part of the prize is exchangeable for cash or any other prize.
7. The prize shall be available from duedil.com from the 15/01/2012 until 15/01/2013.
8. Winners will be able to download any available company document filed from 01/01/1995 onwards, subject to a Fair Use Policy.
9. The following Fair Use Policy applies to all winners:
(a) The prize is intended for individual, registered users.
(b) The use of any automated means to download documents is strictly forbidden.
(c) Regularly downloading more than 1,000 documents per day will be considered as contravening the Fair Use Policy.
10. Duedil reserves the right to restrict or revoke access to documents if we suspect any winner of abusing the Fair Use Policy.
11. Duedil also reserves the right to alter the terms of the competition at any time.
