How can FinTech help improve operational efficiency through digital transformation

Justin Fitzpatrick, our Co-founder and CEO, joined a discussion with Matthew Hunt, COO at Pay.Uk and Rahul Mundke, VP Technology, Bank of America Merrill Lynch on how FinTech can help you improve operational efficiency through digital transformation. This panel discussion was moderated by Alona Ferber, Special Projects Editor at New Statesman.

How can FinTech help improve your operational efficiency?

A visible shift in the way financial services are being delivered to both business and consumers led by FinTechs has become evident in the past couple of years. Disruption and operational efficiency are more of synonyms, there is no clear distinction between the two concepts. Both concepts focus on moving businesses forward and allow them to offer imported services to their clients. The challenge financial service providers are facing now is to start seeing digital transformation as an essential component of operating models geared up for success. This will help deliver the service customers expect nowadays.

It might appear that digital transformation is being implemented at a rather slow pace. However, it is important to remember that a multitude of transformational changes is happening at once. As the financial services industry starts to more actively embrace the digital transformation, we will see operational efficiencies go to the next level while a greater choice of digitally enabled and personalised financial service offerings will emerge.
